Vale School District #84 is accepting sealed bids for a 2004 Thomas Freightliner School Bus VIN 4UZAAXCN24CM00871. The bus can be inspected by scheduling an appointment with Julie at (541) 473-0209. Vale School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The highest bidders will be responsible for payment and removal of the bus no later than two weeks after being notified of high bidder status. Payment must be made by cashier's check or cash. Personal checks and credit cards will not be accepted. Bids can be mailed or hand-delivered to Vale School District #84, Attn: Cindy Tolman, 403 E Street West, Vale, OR 97918. Assistant Cook
Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for a 5.25 hour per day Assistant Cook position for the 2026-2027 school year, with a 156-day (school year) contract. Interested applicants should possess a food handler's card.

Special Education Instructional Assistant
Vale School District #84 is accepting applications for a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year, with a 156-day (school year) contract. Interested applicants must submit a Classified Application found on the District website at https://www.valesd.org/employment-advertisements. Compensation is based on negotiated agreement. Position provides paid leave and is PERS eligible. The hourly rate is based on experience and ranges from $19.06-$24.85 per hour. Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Associate’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, OR
Completion of two years of post-secondary coursework (at least 48 semester or 72 quarter credits), OR
A passing score on a state or locally approved paraprofessional assessment which can be taken through the Malheur ESD.

Vale High School Assistant Girls Basketball Coach

School Bus Drivers
Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for School Bus Driver positions for the 2025-2026 school year. Interested applicants must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test and criminal record check. Applicants should possess a current CDL with a bus driver, air brake endorsement, or be willing to train. Training hours will be compensated at minimum wage. Once training is complete, substitute driving hours will be compensated at the rate of $29.50 per hour; the positions are PERS eligible.
